I am Thamousca
Certified Life Coach
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Her approach helps one to tap into our emotions rather than what happened to provoke the feeling. I find this immensely useful as well as it has given me opportunities to heal, to be more mindful and make better decisions that support the overall experience and relationships dynamic. I adore this woman! Thank you Thamy ~Mrs. W.
Thamousca (most commonly known as Thamy) was born in snowy Montreal, Canada to Haitian parents, relocated to fast-paced New York City, and now residing in sunny South Florida. Thamy is not unfamiliar with sudden relocations, unexpected changes and detours, personal disappointments, and professional uncertainties. Despite the challenges, roadblocks, and difficulties, she perseveres through her Healing journey.
As a former Educator with Broward County Public Schools (BCPS), Mrs. Junis-Florian quickly realized that young girls needed more than instructional assistance, but rather emotional support and mentorship. Although she enjoyed the art of teaching, after over a decade in the classroom, her passion and life purpose became clear. She shifted her focus and pursued her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Doing so enabled her to provide one-on-one along with group therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults. The joy, fulfillment, and inspiration gained from working with teen girls led to Healing Moi's inception.
“Healing Moi is not just an online therapy and coaching platform, it is a therapeutic goal,
and most importantly a daily Affirmation of our life’s purpose” Healing Moi = To Heal Oneself
After months of contemplation, the mission became to develop a Healing Sanctuary for teen girls to have a safe space to discuss issues related to self-esteem, sexual identity, peer pressure, body image, academic expectations, and parental conflicts. The secondary mission was to encourage adult women to develop greater self-awareness, become assertive communicators, and live authentically while demystifying their cognitive distortions through self-induced fears from the various roles of life. The vision is for adolescent girls and women to be/act intentionally while aspiring to manifest the best and proudest version of themselves as they maneuver through various milestones and the 4-Ships of life: FamSHIPS, IntimaSHIPS, FriendSHIPS, and WorkSHIPS.
Mrs. Junis-Florian is not only a clinician, but she is also a Certified Life Coach through the International Association of Professions Career College (IAP), an Infant Family Specialist endorsed through the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health (FAIMH), and currently pursuing her Doctorate in Psychology with a specialization in Health and Wellness.
When Thamy is not facilitating therapy/coaching clients, she is having fun with her husband, enjoying time in nature, laughing out loud with friends, dancing/jamming to music, eating/cooking some yummy food, lighting some incense/candles for aromatherapy, or just sitting quietly in meditation.
